If you look at the development of our company, one thing in particular is clear: Our growth is very closely linked to us as people. The skills and experience of our team are key to the success of Westfälischer Edelmetallgroßhandel und Verwertung GmbH.
In 2007, the company Westfälischer Edelmetallhandel und Verwertung was set up as an individual enterprise by skilled goldsmith Marcus Vorwerk, who already had several years of experience in the precious metal processing and recycling sector. In 2010, the individual enterprise was as changed to a limited company, or "GmbH".
Over the years, Vorwerk continued to expand on his range of knowledge, and is now a member of the German Association of Consultants and Expert Valuers and completed the course for the Graduate Gemologist diploma from the IGI (Institute of Gemology) in Antwerp.
Before setting up Westfälischer Edelmetallhandel und Verwertung GmbH, he had spent several years as Managing Director of a large branch within the precious-metal-trade sector. This experience stood him in good stead: Westfälischer Edelmetallhandel und Verwertung GmbH now has a number of branches within North Rhine-Westphalia.
At the start of 2011, the skilled industrial clerk and business administration and operations expert Frank van Hasselt joined the WEHV. As a long-standing employee at one of the leading refineries in Germany, van Hasselt brought with him the valuable experience of setting up a new business division.
Frank van Hasselt introduced the company into the field of wholesale trading.
Our team member Chantal Hector opened up the opportunity to expand internationally, and she currently works as our representative in Frankfurt.
We are also now represented in Austria, Belgium, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
In 2012, our team grew once again with the addition of the skilled cutting-machine operator and industrial technician Aleksander Vorwerk.
His responsibilities include the development of internal processes and the organisation of the technical company divisions. As a diamond expert certified in Antwerp (HRD), he also develops and heads up the diamond-trade business segment.
In order to ensure that we can provide our commercial customers with the best possible service, we have been continuing our business under a new name from October 2013: Westfälischer Edelmetallgroßhandel und Verwertung GmbH [Westphalian precious-metal wholesale and processing company].
For this purpose, we have moved our new company building to Bönen in order to create the framework conditions that allow us to provide our customers with the best possible service.
The WEGHV team is looking forward to meeting you at our new premises.
